Long time no see! It’s time once again for some League of Legends action. We have already entered the final week of the split so we have a lot of games to catch up on as we reach the end of the Summer Split regular season.

Fnatic entered the 6th week of play tied for 1st in the championship and had to face of against Astralis and G2 Esports as they looked to secure their spot at the top.

And in their first game against Astralis, Fnatic did just that. In a dominant fashion they dismantled their opposition, averaging over one kill a minute before closing out 25 minutes in.

After breezing past their first game of the week it was finally time for the big rematch, Fnatic vs G2. In their earlier faceoff this season it was Fnatic that came out on top, but we all know that you can’t underestimate 8x LEC champions.

Even the draft in this grand matchup had fans ecstatic, with Rekkles bringing out his Vayne, Nisqy his Irelia etc. This game was set up to become another banger in this historic rivalry.

Both teams stepped up for the challenge as the battle of the kings commenced on the rift. And the following fight left nothing to be desired as the two titans of the LEC battled it out. After a back and fourth game and some unfortunate pauses, it was Fnatic who came out on top to secure their 2nd victory against G2 in Summer.

To begin the 7th week we got to see a matchup between Fnatic and the team sitting beside them at the top of the standings, Rouge. Despite being two of the top teams, it quickly turned into a one sided affair as Rouge ran away with the game using Hans Sama’s famous Kalista together with a heavily roaming Twisted Fate from Larssen. Rouge racked up 27 kills in just as many minutes and secured sole position of first place in a dominant fashion.

To end off the week the boys in orange played against SK Gaming. But despite a great early game from Fnatic, a plethora of mistakes resulted in SK catching up and eventually winning the game, handing Fnatic a rough 0–2 weekend just as we close in on the playoffs.

Speaking of playoffs, Fnatic has already secured their spot and are now fighting for championship points to avoid missing out on the double elimination in the bracket. This is all a bit complicated so we’ll take a closer look at that as all teams lock in their spots in the bracket.
